Ventra approached us with a special request: to precision-cut custom foam inserts that would securely cradle their components during inspection and assembly. These parts are delicate and require secondary operations like painting or chrome plating—meaning the material we used needed to be non-marring and scratch-resistant to protect each piece throughout the process.
Our team sourced a specialty foam specifically designed to protect the surface finish of each component while ensuring everything remained within tight dimensional tolerances. It wasn’t just about cutting foam—it was about delivering precision, protection, and performance all in one.
Creative Tooling Meets Advanced Verification
This project gave our team the chance to flex our problem-solving muscles and dive into creative tooling solutions. After designing and cutting the foam nests, we brought in our portable Faro Arm with laser scanning technology—a service we proudly offer on-site at your facility—to verify the accuracy of every cut and validate the fit to exact spec.
The result? A highly customized, perfectly engineered solution that met the unique needs of our customer—and pushed the limits of what we’ve done before.
